According to the NY Times, its just might:

The graffiti artist who took Facebook stock instead of cash for painting the walls of the social network’s first headquarters made a smart bet. the shares owned by the artist, David Choe, are expected to be worth upward of $200 million when Facebook stock trades publicly later this year.

*These are my favorite stories of the internet age. We have all heard of the “Millionaire secretaries” that were working for Microsoft who became rich a f*ck when that stock price kept going up… We’ve heard about how the times were running rampant back during the internet boom with people taking stock options in lieu of salary and basically printing money months later… We’ve heard about how there are all kinds of 20 years old google guys rolling around in $100k cars… but I thought that all stopped, and those people were programmers and engineer types that worked for the company. THIS is a first, and THIS is awesome. how smart of a guy is this graf artist who said, dont worry about paying me, just give me shares. Now with the public offering that Facebook is doing, with bets that the company will have a valuation north of $80b, those shares he took will come out to around $200m. Wow. only in America. You gotta love it!

**I can’t wait until TOW goes public!!! I promise that you will be reading a story about the girl who works the counter at the place were I get burritos who got rich off of TOW stock and is now driving to work in a Ferrari!
